PettyJohn Electronics Lift

The Pettyjohn Electronics Lift is a new breed of buffer-boost unit. While most all-in-one solutions offer a singular knob, the Lift bucks that unfortunate trend and elevates your tone to the next level. 

Offering two modes of operation—Buffer (pedal off) and Boost (pedal on)—the core of the Lift employs a discrete op-amp that’s been precision tuned to process any type of guitar signal around, be it wet or dry. The buffer’s Input Gain knob raises the internal gain of the buffer, breathing a touch of life into an otherwise dull tone. 

Players have access to a sparkling clean boost that offers up to 32 decibels of ultra-clean gain, adding everything and nothing all at once. With the Lift at the front of your signal, your amp won’t know what hit it—literally. 

Two assignable filters—Hi and Low Cut—can be set to work in either mode—Boost or Buffer, offering 6db-per-octave cutting capability. Yes, that’s right; when the pedal is off, you can set the filters to be on, giving the Buffer mode the most control of any buffer on the market. 

The secret to the extreme amounts of headroom and clarity is the dual-rail power operation of the discrete op-amp, accepting voltage of up to 18 volts for an intense 36-volt swing that can bring even the deadest tone back to life.
